EMU Department of Educational Sciences Nicosia Master’s Program Applications Commence

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences has continued to expand in Nicosia with 3 Master’s Programs. Applications for the Fall 2020 Semester Nicosia Master’s Programs have begun.

Deadline for online applications for the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program, EMU Department of Educational Sciences, Educational Administration and Supervision Program, Education Program and Teaching Master’s Programs at the EMU Educational Sciences Department, is the 15th of September 2020. Applications can be made in person between 17 and 18 September 2020. The master’s programs in question will be in Turkish with thesis, and will take place at the Atatürk Teachers Academy from the 21st September 2020, between the hours of 16:30 – 19:30. In an effort to provide convenience to those  that live in or around Lefkoşa, individuals who work long hours or cannot travel to Famagusta due to distance, Master’s Programs will be provided in Nicosia with the same admission criteria as those at EMU.

Guidance and Psychological Counseling Master’s Program:

In this program there are 4 compulsory and 4 elective courses, making 8 courses in total to succeed in, with an area thesis to complete. Students who have completed an undergraduate program in the area of Guidance and Psychological counseling, with a grade average of over 2.50 may apply for this program. Candidates applying from other programs will be admitted to the preparation program. Any experience in the field will be considered an advantage among applying candidates

Educational Administration and Supervision Masters Program

In this program there are 4 compulsory and 4 elective courses, making 8 courses in total to succeed in, with a thesis to complete.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any teaching program. For applications from other areas, a pedagogic formation document must be presented. Anyone without a teaching certificate will be admitted to a scientific preparation program.

Education Programs and Teaching Masters Program:

In this program there are 4 compulsory and 4 elective courses, making 8 courses in total to succeed in, with an area thesis to complete. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any teacher education program. Candidates applying from different areas that demonstrate a teaching qualification (pedagogic formation document) may apply for this program. Those who do not possess a teaching certificate, will be admitted to a scientific preparation program identified by the department. Any experience in teaching will be considered an advantage among applying candidates.

All applicants must have a minimum grade average of 2.50 over 4 from their bachelor education. Republic of Turkey candidates must have a minimum of 55 standard points from the LES examination.
