The results of UK-based TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) exam held on 4 July 2025 at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Law have been announced. Among the 25 participants, candidates achieved remarkable success by earning high scores across the Foundation, Higher, and Advanced levels.
According to a statement from the EMU TOLES Exam Center, which has coordinated TOLES exams in Cyprus since 2012, candidates this year took the exam at the Foundation, Higher, and Advanced levels and achieved notable results. The statement also highlighted that participants’ average scores have consistently improved over the years.

Gürsu Bengihan and Ece Gömdeniz set a milestone by achieving the highest score in their respective categories. In the Foundation level, Gürsu Bengihan scored 96 followed by Melike Şafak with 91 and Sevcan Kapan with 86 points. Moreover, in the Higher level, Ece Gömdeniz achieved 97, followed by Şevval Sude Dumanoğlu with 80 and Başak Gülten with 76. In the Advanced level, Arzu Alp successfully completed the exam with a score of 71.
Deans Office at EMU Faculty of Law stated that TOLES exam, which enhances students’ and alumni’s proficiency in international legal English, provides a significant opportunity for advancing their careers.
