EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty Organised a Photography Exhibition

Within the framework of the course entitled “Advanced Photography” offered by Eastern Mediterranean University, Communication and Media Studies Faculty , students of the same faculty organised a photography exhibition under the supervision of the course instructor Mert Yusuf Özlük. The official opening of the said exhibition took place at EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty, at 2:30 p.m. on 18 January 2016. The exhibition will be open for art lovers in Famagusta until 20 January 2016.

Prior to the launch of the exhibition, students’ pieces of photography on the historical sites of Famagusta were displayed at the Purple Hall. Certificates were also distributed to the same students by Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit İnatçı and  Kemal Saraçoğlu Foundation Representative Raşit Kutlu.

A total of 46 photos of 18 students will be exhibited in the said organisation and funds to be raised through the photo sales will be donated to Kemal Saraçoğlu Children with Leukemia Foundation. Organised in memory of former EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilbert “Skip” Norman, who passed away during last year due to cancer, the exhibition’s second leg will be launched at the European Mediterranean Art Association in Nicosia at 5:30 p.m. on 22 January 2016.
