Eastern Mediterranean University, Communication and Media Studies Faculty introduced another social responsibility project. Students of EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department carried out their semester projects as part of the Social Responsibility for Marketing Communication course delivered by academic staff member Dr. Umut Ayman.
Within the framework of World Children’s Books Week, students of EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty organised a talk by Social Services Specialist Barış Başel at Şehit Zeki Salih Elementary School and, at the same time, donated books to the library of the said school. During the talk, Başel stressed the importance of reading books for children.
At the end of the event, Şehit Zeki Salih Elementary School Principal Yılmaz Erdalhan thanked EMU for an organisation as such and stated that the donated books will hopefully improve children’s reading habits.
