Eastern Mediterranean University authorised staff union EMU BİR-SEN paid a visit of courtesy to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam on 31 October 2014. During the visit EMU BİR-SEN co-chairs Buğu Sümen Çohar and Kazım Hakverdi extended their best wishes to Rector Dr. Necdet Osam in his new undertaking.
Stating that the administrative staff and workers will fulfill their responsibilities with devotion as it was until now, the co-chairs asked for Prof. Dr. Osam’s support in improving the rights of the staff as well as eliminating issues that have put them at a disadvantage.
Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam stated that he will spend his best efforts in bringing up the administrative staff and workers into the position they deserve to be. Prof. Dr. Osam added that the university administration will do anything possible to ensure the continuation of the collective agreement and work peace. Stating that the role of the administrative staff and workers in university’s development is vital, Prof. Dr. Osam extended his gratitude to all of them for their invaluable contributions.
