The champions of the Turkish Athletics Super League have been crowned. Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) athlete Tuğba Aydın, has become the triple jump champion of Turkey after participating in the championships that took place in Ankara on the 3rd and 4th of April 2016. Tugba Aydın who participated in the name of Besiktas Sports Club competed with athletes from eight other clubs and reached gold after her jump of 12.88 meters.
EMU Athletics coach Hasan Maydon provided a statement about Aydın’s achievement noting that together they completed a very had training period and successful season. Maydon also stated that EMU is the home of many talented athletes like Aydın predicting numerous important victories in the upcoming sporting season.
