Successful students from Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Education Faculty, Elementary Education Department were honoured with a ceremony at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Hall. Before the honour and high honour certificate ceremony, graduation projects and work designed and produced in class throughout the year were exhibited in the foyer and exhibition halls where musical drama performances also took place. In addition, a “Farewell to Fourth Years” was organized for Elementary Education Department students who are about to graduate.
The event was attended by EMU Education Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ülker Vancı Osam, Department of Elementary Education Chair Prof. Dr. Elif Yeşim Üstün, department students and academic staff.
Delivering the opening speech of the event, EMU Education Faculty, Elementary Education Department Chair Prof. Dr. Elif Yeşim Üstün indicated that the success of the graduates to be has made her proud, urging students to make a difference and leave a mark throughout their careers. Highlighting the importance of being able to touch every child, Prof. Dr. Üstün noted that she will be by the side of the students during their careers just like she was during their education period.
In a speech of her own, EMU Education Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ülker Vancı Osam highlighted EMU’s quality educational vision indicating that the Pre-School Teacher Education Program is continuing with its international accreditation work with great determination. Advising the prospective teachers to raise honest children that love their country and ancestors and possess a moral values, Prof. Dr. Osam expressed that she is proud of all students and also stated that being a part of the EMU family is an honour. Following the speeches, the successful students were awarded honour and high honour certificates.
