As the EMU family, we have been deeply saddened to hear of the mining disaster claiming lives of hundreds of workers of Soma Coal Enterprises operating under Soma Holding in Soma district of Manisa on 13 May 2014.
We hope that disasters like this will never happen again and those trapped in the coal mine are rescued as soon as possible. We send our deepest condolences to Republic of Turkey and to families and relatives of those who lost their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with Turkish people and those still trapped.
May the souls of all those who lost their lives rest in eternal peace.
