A talk took place on Tuesday, the 26th of November 2019 aimed towards Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Tourism Faculty, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program students. The talk which took place at the Tourism Faculty was delivered by “Doyen Chef” Ali Özçil and Food Engineer, Wine and Gastronomy Expert İhsan Erol Özçil. At the talk also attended by EMU Tourism Faculty Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Öztüren, Ali Özçil and İhsan Erol Özçil promoted their book titled “Adamızın Lezzetleri” (Flavors of Our Island).
They Provided Occupational Advice
Ali Özçil and İhsan Erol Özçil have contributed to Cyprus’s rich and historic cuisine being promoted all over the world. During the talk, Chef Ali Özçil and Food Engineer, Wine and Gastronomy Expert İhsan Erol Özçil touched upon the work they are carrying out in the field of gastronomy and provided EMU Tourism Faculty students with occupational advice. The talk highlighted that a gastronomy education makes it easy for students to find work after graduation and that gastronomy is a financially attractive profession.
