The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) African Student Association (ASA) organized an African Culture Night hosted by the International Office operating under the Vice Rector’s Office for International Affairs and Promotion.
Many African students attended the event which took place at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Centre also following the results of the cultural art competition that took place a day before. Students were presented awards in different categories. At the event which included a range of cultural activities, students who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from all over Africa wore local garments adding colour to the night with traditional dance and music. There are currently, 11 different African student societies at EMU that actively participate in the universities’ activities.
