A group of international journalists visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the framework of 20 July celebrations paid a visit to EMU on 22 July 2015. During the visit, international journalists received detailed information both about EMU and the Cyprus issue from the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen.
During his presentation, Prof. Dr. Sözen provided detailed information about EMU as well as the international student profile and EMU’s accreditation projects. Prof. Dr. Sözen also briefed the guests about the Cyprus conflict and recent developments.
The international group of journalists who were from over 20 countries (Pakistan, Egypt, Romania, Oman, Qatar, Serbia, Kuwait, Bosnia Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Russia, Estonia, Prague, Poland, Spain, Slovakia, Letonia, Azerbaijan, Tunusia, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania) also had the opportunity to explore different faculties and places within the campus. At the end of their visit, guest jounalists expressed their fascination with EMU. The visit ended with a lunch organisation which took place at EMU Tower Restaurant.
