The official opening of Eastern Mediterranean University’s 2015 – 2016 Academic Year will take place at Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 13 October 2015. During the opening ceremony, President of the TRNC Mustafa Akıncı will deliver the academic year’s first lesson entitled “The Place of Universities in Cyprus Conflict”.
The ceremony will commence with a moment of silence and national anthem which will be followed by EMU Education Faculty academic staff members Dilşad Asadova and Maka Borschashvili’s mini concert.
Following EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam’s opening address, President of the TRNC Mustafa Akıncı will deliver the first lesson of the year. The ceremony will end with a cocktail.
