Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Business and Economics Faculty, Banking and Finance Department is to hold the “5th International Conference on Banking and Finance Perspectives” on 20-22 April 2021 in cooperation with University of Bedforshire and with the contributions of Central Bank of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This year, the conference will be held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The statement released by Conference Organization Board Chair and EMU Business and Economics Faculty, Banking and Finance Department Chair Prof. Dr. Nesrin Özataç is as follows: “Receiving nearly 100 applications from 18 different countries, the conference will host expert academic staff members and bankers. Efficient monetary policies that central banks need to implement in in times of financial market fluctuations, volatility models, the importance of inspection and overseeing, Islamic banking, micro finance and capital markets, capital structure of firms, economic development and energy economics were among the discussion topics of the conference.
Following the opening speeches of the conference, Prof. Dr. Sabri Boubaker from Normandie Business School in Paris, France and, Dr. Ourania Dimitriaki from University of Bedforshire will deliver presentations. Our annual conference has become more visible with international collaborations and is held more efficiently every year academically. The conference series, which we will organize for the 5th time this year, is of great importance in terms of promoting the country as well as contributing to the academic life of the country.”
