Scholarships
International Merit-Based Scholarships 2010-2011 Academic Year
These scholarships will be awarded according to:
i) High school diploma scores.
ii) University Examination scores.
iii) Academic performance at former university in the case of transfer students.
The award and distribution of the scholarships will be overseen
by the “International Students Merit-Based Scholarship Evaluation Committee.”
According to the decision of the committee, applicants may receive
a 25% or 50% reduction in fees. Further, each semester, two applicants from every
country will receive a full 100% scholarship.
It is the policy of the committee to award the full quota of scholarships
each semester.
Scholarships are awarded for the standard duration of the course
programme, i.e:
- 4 years for undergraduate programs
- 5 years for undergraduate programs with 1 year of academic study in the English
Preparatory School.
- 2 years for masters programs
- 3 years for masters programs with 1 year of academic study in the English Preparatory
School.
Should recipients extend their program of study beyond these periods,
they will be liable for the standard tuition fee charge.
Maintainance of Scholarships is not otherwise linked to level of academic performance,
though scholarship awards can be withdrawn for infringements of university disciplinary
regulations.

FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
Scholarship applications will be examined on a case-by-case basis
by the Scholarship Evaluation Committee and awards garnted accordingly.
NOTIFICATION OF AWARDS
Notification of scholarship awards will be provided within two
weeks of your formal acceptance for a programme of study at Eastern Mediterranean
University.
