On March 31, 2008, The 44th Library Week started with the exhibition entitled “Library Of My Dreams”  which was presented by Eastern Mediterranean Primary School Students. At the opening ceremony, The EMU President of the Board of Trustiees, Mrs. Çimen Varer Öztürk, participated in ribbon-cutting with other guests.

On April 2, 2008,  a paper on  “Public Relations in the Libraries”  was presented by Mr. Cem Çiçek  from the  Department of Public Relations and Advertising of Eastern  Mediterranean University.

On April 2, 2008, a paper on  “Stress Factor of Staff  in TRNC Libraries”  was presented by Mr. Akman Dinçyürek from the EMU Library.

On April 2,  2008,  Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Netice Yıldız from the Faculty of Architecture, presented the project entitled  “Manuscripts of Cyprus” which was organized by TRNC Ministry of Education and Culture.

 On April 2, 2008, to honor the 44th Library Week and the Librarians, EMU Rector’s Office invited all the Librarians to lunch at the Tower Restaurant.    

On April 3 and 4, 2008, EMU Library Personnel participated in the symposium on  “Libraries and Archives” which was organized by TRNC Ministry of Education and Culture.
