Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has earned the rights to become the official examination and coordination center for TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) within Turkey and North Cyprus.

According to EMU Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School Director Assist. Prof. Nilgün Hancıoğlu Eldridge, EMU-CEC Board Member Assist. Prof. Elmaziye Özgür Küfi and TOLES exams Coordinator Peril Emiroğulları, as of the 2011-2012 Academic Year, School of Foreign Languages staff responsible for the Legal English courses has received accreditations granting them the rights to coordinate TOLES examinations. EMU School of Foreign Languages, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, began offering TOLES preparatory courses as of 2010-2011 Academic Year Fall Semester.

TOLES offers international certifications to lawyers, legal translators and students studying law. In today’s globalized world, the importance of English has become apparent and TOLES provides a great opportunity for Lawyers.
