Programs), Prof.Dr.Pual Ganster (

Studies of the Californian’s) and
Prof.Dr.Nancy A.Marlin (Provost)
visited EMU between the 24-28th of
March 2007 in order to discuss ways
to expand the thirteen year old
protocol that exists between San
Diego University (SDSU) and Eastern

begun.

September 2006, Famagusta (T.A.K):
The 2006-2007 Eastern Mediterranean
University Academic year has started
today with an opening ceremony. EMU
Board of Trustees Director Çimen
Varer Öztürk with the administrative
board members, EMU vice-rectors,
Financial and technical affairs
vice-rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa
Dağbaşı, Zeynel Yeşilada on behalf
of the TR support committee, faculty
deans, teaching staff and students
attended the ceremony at 10:00 in
the EMU Activity center.

Prof. Dr. Halil Güven: “We’re
standing firmly”
 The
Rector of EMU, Prof. Dr. Halil Güven
said that everything should be
settled down in the T.R.N.C. and
added EMU is continuing its work to
develop education, quality and the
messages given to the public. Saying
“We are standing firmly. No
worries”, Halil Güven stated EMU
will intake much more students next
year.
