Our Mission
The mission of the Department of Business is
to prepare students to live and work as productive citizens in a
changing global society and to provide the managers of the
future with analytic skills and knowledge in a wide range of
areas including production, marketing, finance, human resources,
knowledge management, and strategic planning. The courses which
look at issues from multiple perspectives are structured to
encourage innovative and critical thinking. This Department is
dedicated to the training of individuals from widely diverse
backgrounds for challenging positions in the global work force.
In addition to the Business Administration
undergraduate program at the Faculty, the Department offers four
other undergraduate programs at the School of Applied
Disciplines, namely International Trade and Business, Management
Information Systems, Marketing Management and Human Resource

Why to Study Business Administration in EMU?
The Business Department has the largest
number of students in the Faculty of Business and Economics.
Starting from the year of its establishment in 1986 numerous
conferences have been held on issues concerning management.
Participation in these conferences has benefited students in
terms of thinking analytically and critically.
The Qualifications of Our Graduates
Our graduates are able to make positive
contributions to their employers through a myriad of skills,
including among others, fluency in the English language,
knowledge of current business affairs, and up to date IT
competencies. Students who find employment in public sector also
help introduce innovations that enhance productivity of their
jobs. Business Department students are strongly encouraged to
develop an entrepreneurial and creative orientation, enabling
them to compete on a global scale.
Job Opportunities
Business graduates have a wide range of job
opportunities in either public or private sector. These job
opportunities include marketing, finance, management, human
resources, commerce, and economics fields. Graduates gain
valuable English language skills and are equipped with computer
skills that further enhance the opportunity to easily find
