Job Description

The Department of International Relations seeks to recruit candidates for a full time position in either European Studies/International Political Economy/Conflict Resolution.  The successful applicant will assume all the responsibilities of full time faculty, including teaching courses, conducting research, supervising theses, contributing to department and university committees, as well as service to the community. 

Qualifications  

For Professor Position, applicants should be Full Professors, holding a Ph.D. in either European Studies/International Political Economy/Conflict Resolution  or Conflict Resolution, as the Department needs the services of an established scholar to open an interdisciplinary PhD program. Applicants should have a background in peace studies, and a publication track record.

Term of Employment

EMU offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for eleven months starting September 15, 2008, renewable for two years, contingent upon successful performance.
