Full – Time Academic Position in Experimental Psychology, Department of Psychology – Faculty of Arts and Science.  

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position include undergraduate and graduate teaching, in accordance with EuroPsy criteria. In addition to Experimental Psychology courses, the candidate is expected to teach Research Methods, Testing & Measurement and in other related fields.

The responsibilities of the candidate will include development of the infrastructure and the curriculum for the Behavioral Sciences Laboratory.

The candidate is expected to undertake multi-disciplinary scholarly research. Administrative duties of the candidate include student advisory tasks, developing curriculum and serving in relevant departmental and university committees.

Qualifications

Ph.D. holder in the field of Experimental Psychology.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in higher education.
Membership to internationally recognized psychology associations

such as APA or BPS.
Fluency in English.
Publications in indexed journals.

Preference will be given to those candidates with international experience in teaching and/or research.

Term of Employment

EMU offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for eleven months starting September 15, 2008, renewable for two years, contingent upon successful performance.
