Job
Description
The
primary responsibilities for this position include teaching at
undergraduate and graduate levels, scholarly research and
publication, serving on departmental board meetings, appropriate
departmental and university committees, and student and theses
advising.
Qualifications
All
applicants should have potential for excellence in teaching and
research. A high command of English Language is essential.
Applicants should have experience in teaching public relations
theory and practice courses, and other related topics. Those who in
addition have also had work experience in related fields are
encouraged to apply. It is crucial that candidates have a
demonstrable interest in the theoretical and critical issues
surrounding one’s area/s of interest . Applicants for appointment to
the Assistant Professor position should have completed a Ph.D.
degree in Public Relations, or in Marketing Communication / Mass
Communication, and should have published research in indexed
journals. Applicants for Associate Professor or full Professor
positions must demonstrate a strong academic and scholarly record of
teaching and publications, and should have a proven track record of
ability to mentor junior faculty.

offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for eleven
months starting September 15, 2008, renewable for two years,
contingent upon successful performance.
