Job Description

The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching in English, scholarly research and publication, developing curriculum in the field of mathematics, serving departmental and university committees, proper advising to students.

Qualifications

All applicants should have potential for excellence in teaching and research. Applicants with experience of teaching in  English is encouraged to apply. Applicants for an Assistant Professor appointment should have completed a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and should have published research in indexed journals. An applicant for the Associate Professor or Professor appointment must demonstrate a strong academic and scholarly record of teaching and publications, and should have a proven track record of ability to mentor junior faculty.

Term of Employment

EMU offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for eleven months starting September 15, 2008, renewable for two years, contingent upon successful performance.
